Chef Patron Daniel Smith brings a wealth of talent and experience to his kitchen at The Ingham Swan. His impressive track record over the last 20 years includes working for the acclaimed Michel Roux Jr at the two Michelin starred London restaurant, La Gavroche before moving back to Norfolk to work with another renknowed chef – Galton Blakiston at Morston Hall where he achieved his first Michelin Star as Head Chef, aged 23. He then spent a decade at the popular Wildebeest Arms in South Norfolk before opening The Ingham Swan, his first restaurant, in April last year. During this time, he has built up a solid reputation and loyal following as being one of Norfolks most innovative and creative chefs. Daniel prides himself on his regularly changing menus that embrace all that is fresh, seasonal and local. Not forgetting his Norfolk roots, Daniel creates each menu to take full advantage of the selection of local produce that is readily available on the doorstep.
And not being protective of his kitchen secrets, Daniel regularly showcases his skills and inventive dishes with Cookery Demonstrations at The Ingham Swan, and also at prestigious local events such as the Royal Norfolk Show. Keep an eye on the website for dates and further details on up-coming demonstrations. Due to the popularity of these events, booking is highly recommended.
